iFinesseMusic ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered music production service at ifinessemusic.com.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, username, password (hashed), subscription tier
  • Vocal Recordings: Audio files you record or upload through our studio
  • Beat Prompts: Text descriptions of the music you want to generate
  • Reference Tracks: Audio files you upload for style reference
  • Lyrics & Text: Any lyrics or text you input for vocal generation
  • Payment Information: Handled by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage Data: Tracks generated, features used, session timestamps
  • Device Information: Browser type, IP address, operating system
  • Cookies: Authentication tokens, preferences, session data
  • Analytics: Pages visited, time on site, click patterns

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Generate, mix, and master your music tracks
  • Process vocal recordings with AI (noise reduction, EQ, effects)
  • Store your generated tracks for download
  • Manage your subscription and process payments
  • Communicate about your account and service updates
  • Improve our AI models and service quality (see Section 5)
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Information Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only in these cases:

  • AI Service Providers: Your vocal recordings and prompts are processed by MiniMax AI (minimaxi.com) for TTS and music generation. Their use of your data is governed by their privacy policy.
  • Payment Processing: Stripe handles all payment data. We receive only transaction confirmation, not card details.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
  • Business Transfer: If iFinesseMusic is acquired, user data may transfer to the acquiring company under the same privacy terms.

4. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Retained while account is active, deleted within 30 days of account closure
  • Generated Tracks: Retained for 90 days on free tier, 1 year for paid subscribers, then deleted
  • Vocal Recordings: Deleted immediately after mix/master unless you choose to keep them
  • Reference Tracks: Deleted immediately after AI processing
  • Usage Analytics: Retained for 2 years in aggregate form

5. AI Model Training

⚠️ IMPORTANT: We use your vocal recordings, lyrics, and AI-generated content to improve our AI models. This includes sharing with our AI service providers (MiniMax). If you do NOT consent to this, do not upload vocal recordings or use vocal generation features. Beat generation prompts are NOT used for training.

You can opt out of AI training by emailing privacy@ifinessemusic.com. Opting out may limit certain features.

6. Cookies & Tracking

  • Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and studio functionality. Cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how you use the site. You can block these in browser settings.
  • Third-Party Cookies: Stripe and MiniMax may set their own cookies. Their policies govern those.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for data in transit, AES-256 for stored files, and secure hashing (bcrypt) for passwords. No system is 100% secure, but we regularly audit and penetration-test our infrastructure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Object to certain processing
  • Data portability
  • File a complaint with a data protection authority

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us immediately.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our AI service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
